Tara Hanson is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a well-rounded background in both clinical and hospital settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia and later earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Keiser University, completing her Family Nurse Practitioner training in 2024.
With over eight years of nursing experience, Tara has worked extensively in pain management in a variety of roles, bringing a deep understanding of both patient care and procedural support. She also spent several years as a charge nurse on an orthopedic unit, gaining valuable experience in post-surgical care and team leadership. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as a travel nurse, providing ICU care in hospitals across the country. One of the most meaningful moments of her career was the opportunity to serve in New York City at the onset of the pandemic.
Tara recently relocated to Driftwood, Texas, with her fiancé. Outside of work, she enjoys playing Padel and exploring the Hill Country. She is thrilled to be part of the Greater Austin Pain Center team and is committed to helping patients achieve lasting relief and an improved quality of life.
