Alan Silberberg, MD

Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology

Dr. Alan Silberberg obtained his undergraduate degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he graduated cum laude in 2001. He earned his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and then moved to the west coast for his post-graduate training. 

After an internship at Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Silberberg completed both his anesthesiology residency (2009) and fellowship training (2010) in pain medicine at the highly regarded University of California San Diego.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Silberberg moved with his family to Austin, Texas to begin practicing interventional pain management in a group practice. In 2014 he formed his own practice, Greater Austin Pain Center. In his spare time, Dr. Silberberg enjoys swimming, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Timothy Bednar, MD

 

Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology

 

Dr. Timothy Bednar grew up in Texas and went to Kingwood High School outside of Houston. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude in 2007. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, Texas in 2011.


After a internship in General Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Dr. Bednar returned to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston to complete both his Anesthesiology residency (2015) and fellowship training (2017) in Pain Medicine. In between completing his anesthesia training and starting his pain medicine fellowship, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch practicing Anesthesia and teaching residents.


Following his fellowship, Dr. Bednar moved to Austin, Texas, joining Dr. Silberberg at Greater Austin Pain Center in 2017. Dr. Bednar enjoys running, scuba diving, watching sports, and spending time with his wife and family.
